Riding the momentum of consecutive comeback wins, McKinney Chupacabras FC return to Ron Poe Stadium on Saturday night to host Fort Worth Vaqueros FC.

McKinney enters the match at 2-0 after opening the season with back-to-back come-from-behind 2-1 victories. The Chupacabras currently sit atop the Ranger Division standings alongside Lubbock Matadors SC, with both clubs on six points.

Fort Worth, meanwhile, is still searching for its first win and first goal at the USL League Two level. The Vaqueros have conceded 16 goals through their opening four matches, most recently falling 4-0 at home to Lubbock on May 22. They opened the season with a narrow 1-0 defeat to the Matadors six days earlier.

The visitors are competing in their first USL League Two season after making the move from the National Premier Soccer League’s Lonestar Conference. The Cowtown club launched in 2013 and is led by head coach Tony Merola, a former professional footballer with Wales-based Wrexham AFC.

Unlike Tuesday’s matchup with Texoma, McKinney enters this contest on a short turnaround, while Fort Worth has had a full week of rest and preparation.

Expect another physical matchup from the Chupacabras, who have recorded six cautions across their first two matches.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Ron Poe Stadium.
