McKinney Chupacabras FC returns to action Tuesday night looking to complete a season sweep of Fort Worth Vaqueros FC in its final road match of the regular season.

The Chupacabras (6-1-2) routed the Vaqueros 7-1 on June 17, setting a club record for goals scored in a match and recording the largest margin of victory in franchise history. Six different McKinney players found the scoresheet, while Dylan Cabrera netted Fort Worth’s lone goal in the 82nd minute despite the Vaqueros playing with 10 men.

McKinney enters the match after earning a 1-1 road draw against Lubbock Matadors SC, bouncing back from its first loss of the season. The result kept the Chupacabras atop the Ranger Division standings entering the final three matches of the regular season.

Fort Worth (0-9-0) continues to search for its first win of the season and enters Tuesday with a minus-28 goal differential, the second-worst mark in USL League Two.

The Vaqueros are coming off a 2-1 road loss to West Texas FC on June 24, marking the second consecutive match in which they have found the back of the net. Midfielder Quinn Macleod scored Fort Worth’s lone goal in the 75th minute, trimming the deficit after West Texas had built a two-goal lead.

One-goal matches have been a common theme for both clubs this season. Despite its winless record, Fort Worth has lost four matches by a single goal, including a 1-0 defeat at Lubbock on May 16 and a 1-0 road loss to McKinney on May 30. The Chupacabras, meanwhile, are a perfect 4-0 in one-goal contests.

With only three matches remaining in the regular season, every point is crucial as McKinney looks to maintain its lead atop the Ranger Division standings.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Doskocil Stadium on the campus of Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth.
