McKinney Chupacabras 3-5 Hattiesburg FC

Chupacabras fall to defeat in 8-goal thriller.

In what marked their last home game at Ron Poe Stadium for the foreseeable future, the McKinney Chupacabras were edged out 5–3 by Hattiesburg FC on Saturday evening.

Deploying a rotated starting lineup, the Chupacabras began the contest positively, with Milton Lopez opening the scoring in the 7th minute to give the hosts an early advantage. The match also provided an opportunity to showcase the depth of the squad, as several players outside the usual starters featured prominently.

Hattiesburg responded decisively, taking the lead in the 26th minute and maintaining control for the remainder of the match.

Despite a strong effort from McKinney, highlighted by goals from Jakob Fiol and a stunning late strike by Freddy Ayala, the Chupacabras could not overturn the deficit.

The encounter was marked by a physical edge, with numerous fouls, cautions, and heated exchanges contributing to an intense atmosphere on the pitch.
