Chupacabras secure second win in commanding rematch on the road
The McKinney Chupacabras continued their strong run into the second half of the season, defeating Mississippi Brilla FC 3–1 in their second meeting of the year. After a 1–1 draw back in May, this time the Chupacabras left no doubt.
Forward Cole Ramey made an immediate impact in his first start for the club, scoring in the 17th minute to give McKinney an early lead. The Chupacabras kept pressing, and just before halftime, defender Jack Monte extended the lead with a goal off a double-header sequence.
Brilla responded in the 65th minute to cut the lead to 2–1, setting up a tense finish. The match grew more physical, and in the 83rd minute, Mississippi’s captain was shown a red card, forcing them to play the final minutes a man down.
Midfielder Carson Burden sealed the win in the 87th minute with a composed finish, putting the game out of reach and capping off a confident Chupacabras performance.
This time, fans were pleased not just with the win, but also with a live stream that worked smoothly, allowing them to watch the Chupacabras put in a full team effort from miles away.
